Most driveway problems we're called to fix are down to a thin or non-existent sub-base. We don't cut corners on the bit you can't see — every driveway we build sits on at least 150mm of compacted Type 1 MOT, with edge restraints to stop the surface migrating.

Three common surface options in the West Midlands: block paving (most popular, traditional look, easy to repair), resin-bound (modern, smooth, premium), tarmac (cheapest, durable, less attractive). We supply and fit all three. Resin-bound is usually permeable by default, which means no SuDS application; block paving and tarmac usually need either permeable jointing or a soakaway.

Where the new driveway covers more than 5 m² of impermeable surface and drains onto the highway, planning permission is required unless we install a SuDS-compliant solution. We handle that on the application or build it into the design.
